We are officially at the halfway point of the high school football season in Georgia. Our GHSA Football Rankings are getting honed in, as our No. 1 teams have remained atop their perch for the last 4 weeks. This week’s rankings had the least amount of movement from top to bottom.

In Class 6A and 5A, the rankings remained unchanged. In Class 4A, Ware County dropped down to No. 10 after a loss to a tough Tallahassee Lincoln (Florida) team. Perry also dropped from No. 4 to No. 8 after falling to Class 6A East Coweta. Over in Class 3A Monroe Area dropped from the rankings after a loss to Class 2A Hart County. That made room for Douglass of Atlanta in at No. 9 this week.

Class 2A saw no new teams enter the rankings. Prince Avenue Christian did drop two spots after a loss to Westside High of South Carolina. That loss made room for Morgan County and Carver Columbus to move up to No 2 and 3 respectively this week. There was minimal movement over in Class A Division-I. Chattooga enters the rankings at No. 10 for the first time this season. The Indians are unbeaten and replace Lamar County after their loss on Friday. Finally in Class A Division-II, Early County and Warren County enter the rankings at No. 9 and No. 10. The replace Pelham and Mt. Zion-Carroll after both of those teams suffered losses.
