Another week of high school football is in the books here in the great state of Georgia. There was some shake up in our Georgia High School Football poll this week, but the top teams in each classification remained the same. Both Class 7A and 5A remained unchanged this week. In Class 6A, Langston Hughes jumps to No. 3 with a big win over region and neighborhood rival Westlake. Meanwhile, Johns Creek is back in the poll at No. 10 this week.
The Perry Panthers suffered their first loss on the year on Friday, falling to Spalding. That drops the Panthers to No. 8 in our Class 4A poll. In Class 3A, it was the Pierce County Bears falling to Rabun County at home. The Bears are down to No. 5 this week. Class 2A remained relatively unchanged. Northeast Macon beat Washington County by 4 in a battle of Top-10 teams. The loss drops Washington County to No. 10 this week.
The top 9 in Class A-Public remained unchanged this week. Wilcox County finds themselves back in the top-10 at No. 10 this week. Meanwhile, Trinity Christian defeated E.L.C.A. in a battle of Class A-Private top five teams. The loss drops E.L.C.A to No. 4 this week while St. Anne-Pacelli makes their debut appearance in our poll at No. 10 this week.
