Week-9 is in the books and our Georgia High School Football Poll has been updated to reflect the results form this weekend. There were several top-10 matchups this week throughout most classifications. Class 7-A had North Cobb defeating Walton to get a leg up in region play. The loss drops Walton to No. 7 this week. Class 6-A also had Cambridge defeating Johns Creek in overtime. Cambridge and Johns Creek flip-flop spots in the poll this week with Cambridge at No. 8 and Johns Creek at No. 10.
Class 5-A has a new No. 1 as the Ware County Gators are back on top after beating previous No. 1 Warner Robins. In another Top-10 matchup, Cartersville beat Blessed Trinity which drops Blessed Trinity from our rankings this week. Meanwhile, Clarke Central makes their debut at No. 10. There was no change to the Class 4-A or 3-A Poll.
In Class 2-A it was Bleckley County edging Northeast Macon in a battle of Top-10 teams. Northeast drops to No. 8, otherwise the poll remains unchanged. Class A-Public remains unchanged, while First Presbyterian makes their debut at No. 10 in Class A-Private.
