The final season has been completed. And save for a few mini games and the final power rankings to be released for Class A Public and Private, the field is all but set for the state playoffs. There were some surprise results in this weeks action. Some teams made their way into the TFR Top 10 this week. Those schools include: Westside, Macon in 3-A; Aquinas and Whitefield Academy in 1-A Private. Teams returning to the poll this week include Savannah Country Day in 1-A Private and Mitchell County and Charlton County in 1-A Public.
This will be our final regular season poll. As we mentioned all season, the champion will be settled on the field on the second weekend in December. Thank you for all who have commented and contributed this season. Please feel free to comment and share.
As we mentioned in our prior post, we have reached the final week of the regular season. There is still much to be decided in this last week of action. Some teams are playing for pride, others playing for region titles and others trying to improve their region seedings.
Today we will preview 4 games with Region title implications. It has been a pleasure covering high school football in Georgia. There is definitely a tremendous amount of competition in all classifications all throughout the great state of Georgia.
