Once again, five county teams will be in action under the Friday night lights. And all five teams will be playing in Cherokee County. Will anyone be able to match Geno Portera’s 4 touchdown performance (3 rushing, 1 passing) this week? He was certainly a standout. Oh, and how about Latrell Bankston’s two sacks and 13 total tackles. Is there a more imposing defensive lineman in the county? And what about Wesley Potter’s game winning field goal for Sequoyah; not to mention his pick 6 on defense earlier in the game. Certainly some standout performances county wide. Who will step up this week for their respective teams?!?!
This weeks action includes the 22nd meeting between Cherokee and Sequoyah. We take a look at this match up as well as games for Etowah, Creekview, and River Ridge. All county teams are still in non-region play, so these games are excellent opportunities for growth and experience.
